Make yourself at home in marvelous Florence and dig in to the famous and beloved culture of Tuscany for a week! Under the guidance of a city expert, walk through Florence’s historic center, visit the imposing Duomo and view Michelangelo’s masterpiece, the David. Travel to the fascinating medieval towns of Siena and San Gimignano and end your day with a dinner at a boutique winery to savor a perfect Tuscan meal paired with local wines. Spend a half day in Pisa and visit the iconic Leaning Tower and the impressive Cathedral. Top your stay in Florence with a cooking class and a food tour in the most authentic district in town – the Oltrarno.  Once you've learned to make pasta from scratch, a simple but delicious Italian sauce and a dessert, you will be ready to go home and cook for your family and friends!

Day 1: Florence, Italy Transfer from Florence Airport to Florence hotel via Private Car

Grand Hotel Cavour is a 4 star hotel centrally located in the historic heart of Florence. Its rooftop terrace offers views over Florence Cathedral, the Duomo. The Uffizi Gallery, the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria are just a few feet away for you to enjoy.

Day 2: BEST OF FLORENCE WITH THE ACCADEMIA

Cover all the Florence's highlights on this fun walking tour in just 2 hours. Starting off from the iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge, the Uffizi Courtyard, the sculptures at Piazza Signoria and the gold doors of the Baptistery, you will then visit the Duomo Square, where the magnificent Florence Cathedral is. The entrance to the Duomo is free and you can visit independently if you wish. You’ll also see the leather market where your guide will explain why Florence is so famous for its leather work, and quieter streets and piazzas of the city with incredible stories to tell. For most visitors to Florence, visiting Michelangelo’s ‘David’ is a must see. Get Skip-the-Line Access and a pre-reserved entry time at the Accademia Gallery to admire the incredible statue of David with the help of an English-speaking guide.

Day 3: TOUR PISA WITH LEANING TOWER TICKETS EXCURSION FROM FLORENCE

Visit the home of the famous leaning tower of Pisa in the heart of the city is Piazza dei Miracoli where you will see the Leaning Tower, Baptistery, Cathedral, and the Monumental Cemetery. Each of these buildings is stunning in its own way and have unique stories to tell. Be sure to take a photo of you holding up the leaning tower! Then, climb the nearly 300 steps of the tower and take spectacular pictures from the top!

Day 4: Florence, Italy: COOKING CLASS WITH FOOD TOUR

Immerse yourself in the flavors and secrets of Italian Cuisine with a small-group hands-on cooking class and discover where Florentines buy their fresh products. With your professional and passionate chef, stroll through the old town and visit the historic bottegas. Taste some typical products and buy the ingredients for your cooking class. Then, head to the cooking school to put your hands on the ingredients as you create your own meal under the expert guidance of a professional chef.

Your menu may slightly vary depending on the season and the fresh ingredients available but will usually be made of homemade pasta from scratch, sauce for the pasta, a second dish and a dessert. Finally, savor the meal you prepared yourself, paired with some of the finest Tuscan wines. (Note that when the food shops are closed (for bank holidays) a special introduction and extra tastings at the cooking class location will be offered instead.)

Day 5: GROUP TOUR SIENA & SAN GIMIGNANO WITH DINNER

Starting from Florence, you will be taken to Siena by an English-speaking driver. In Siena, enjoy a guided walking tour of this compact city as you explore Piazza del Campo, the main central square where the famous Palio horse race takes place every year, as well as the quieter backstreets and learning everything about the Contrade, the 17 medieval city districts that compete against each other in the Palio. Then continue to San Gimignano, famed for its medieval skyscrapers, high walls and narrow streets that typify a Tuscan hill town. San Gimignano is unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses, which, with its hilltop setting and encircling walls, form its famed and unforgettable skyline. You will have free time to explore this city as you wish. Finally, savor a typical Tuscan dinner paired with wines in a fascinating location in the Chianti countryside.
